Market Solution To L.A. Housing? A handful of firms are building shelter for the homeless using private financing.

Grant Housing and Economic Development Corporation (GHEDC) & LOGOS Faith Development LLC have been awarded a $4 million grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to develop Gateway Place, a new veteran supportive housing project in Watts.

LOGOS is thrilled to bring churches the LOGOS-LifeArk model. A modern solution through an alternative approach to development, this model empowers churches to provide their communities with more affordable housing while helping them monetize their land to keep their ministries alive.

Bethel is one of dozens of churches that have met with LOGOS seeking to create revenue and housing.

53 unhoused individuals will have an opportunity to live in a residence when the new Bethel Manor Apartments open by 2024.
